By the way -- From today's Chronicle (Leah Garchik) regarding a proposal to have the City of San Francisco sell "that which is legal in California" directly, Newsom's press secretary observed: "'The mayor will have to HASH this out with public health officials. . . . It's the mayor's job to WEED out bad legislation.'"
