Hi friends and family: My life at this point is a lot like my cat--rest, sleep, stretch, move to another location, repeat. As my mouth is not feeling very good these days, I have cut back on talking on the phone, and on visitors. I am pretty much on soups and smoothies and supplements at this point. But I do enjoy hearing from people, and also love reading your emails. Thanks so much, and also so much for feeding my family!
I am also still watching Sex and the City (the season where Samantha gets breast cancer of course!) and LOVING it. Also reading (Jane Austin is the best!), doing the crossword puzzle, and my highly addictive jigsaw puzzle. I have learned that the only way to get the squirrels off the bird feeder is to toss them nuts, so now I guess I am engaged in bribery. Does that make me a politician? Speaking of which, I have discovered an 11am NPR radio show called "the political junkie" that I am also enjoying a lot. Plus trying to eat enough and going to daily radiation treatment. Actually, I feel busy!
In the meantime, also like my cat, I am shedding and predict the hair will be gone pretty soon. So if people have any extra hats or large scarves and would like to drop them on the porch I would be very appreciative! If I am not asleep I will say a quick hi! My most wonderful hair dresser is coming to my house tomorrow to give me a nice short haircut while I await the inevitable. I often think of Samantha and her bad wigs! With lots of love to everyone for all of your kind words and caring.
Judy: Maybe when your hair grows back it will grow in your favorite hair color. (Sometimes the texture and color changes when it grows back.) I was kind of hoping mine would grow back curly, but no such luck! Everyone at City Hall sends their best wishes to you! Keep being strong! Kim
