Spa Treatment or Torture Chamber? 1st RT prep session

On March 12 I had my first Radiation Therapy (RT) appointment, to start the set up process.  It was a pretty amazing process.  In order to target the radiation, they need to exactly position the body, and they do this by making a mold.  For me this involves a mask over my head and neck.  First I lay down in a warm room, covered by warm blankets, then they put a warm mesh cloth over my face and neck, pat it all around, feels quite lovely and relaxing.  Followed by a cool cloth, which hardens the mesh, and slightly shrinks it around my head and neck.  Hmm...kind of creepy--followed by placing various stickers on it--somehow brought to mind the Phantom of the Opera or Man in Iron Mask--(not that I have seen/read either...)
