I hope to hear back from the MD Anderson Cancer Center (in Houston) and may end up going down there for a consultation about the possible addition of a drug therapy (experimental for my flavor of cancer) to the radiation. All my records have been sent down there, so I am waiting to hear back about either a recommendation or an appointment. For the scientific types, this drug is a monoclonal antibody (is that the right term?), and the results have been good on other related cancers, but just not sure about mine in particular yet.
I am meeting with the medical oncologist on Monday and also having my 2nd RT (radiation therapy, if you are not "in the know" about terminology) prep session mid-week. Don't know what else may be in store in terms of tests, etc.
I have been pretty pleased with the Herrick Cancer Center in Berkeley. They are great.
This is way impressive and high tech, your blog and very pretty too. As for the week, sounds like a plan, and a good one at that! Mo
